CPL is a telephony applications platform for Toshiba digital phone systems.  It is available as an add-on to Toshiba Ultimate Communicator.  It is a command/token programming language incorporating such structured programming constructs as If...Then...Else statements, looping, and assignments.  Arithmetic functions, string handling functions, and greater than, less than, and equals comparisons for strings and numbers are available.

CPL applications can:

• Virtually "press" any button on the phone or its two add-on modules -- even if they don't physically exist!

• Read information from the LCD display and all LEDs whether or not they physically exist

• Rapidly perform automated tasks such as answering, dialing, and transferring

• Initiate actions based on elapsed time, time of day, day of week, etc.

• React to events on a phone, such as ringing or a flashing LED

• Enter DK programming mode and change system programming at the click of a button or in reaction to an event

• Maintain databases of thousands of textual and numerical data items

• React to call record data from Ultimate Call Accounting

• Send call records to and initiate reports on Ultimate Call Accounting

• Control other Communicators on the LAN or WAN with optional Communicator Server software

• "Listen" for and take action on audio input with optional PCHEU audio interface
